Gambling, in different countries is regulated distinctively. In USA, for example, the state legalize gambling, but give the responsibility for each state to regulate specifically. Many jurisdications both local and national ban or strictly supervise gambling. The regulation includes tourism on gambling and illegal gambling that might appeal as well.

Some religions disapprove gambling toward some extent. Considering that gambling can bring social consequences, according to the excuse, most jurisdictions limit gambling. A couple of Islamic countries firmly prohibit gambling, while the others regulate it.

Psychological view

For some people gambling has these following “advantages”. It can be recreating or as a mean of earning money.

Being under pressure for whole working days is absolutely frustrating. So doing something unusual and rather risking is entertaining. Gambling could be one of the options.

Despite the adrenalin rush, gambling can be fun in the financial side. One can earn money without working, just betting and playing game.

The idea of getting rich quick

Earning a lot of money in quick way must be seducing. Thus, no wonder many people would start trying to be gamblers for the short way to gain income with little effort.

Psychologically addictive

Gambling behavior involves variation in brain have great possibilities causing addiction. This psychological addiction can be harmful to some people. This addiction could also “force” gamble to persist in gambling although having repeated losses.

Online gambling, even though has been widely spread all over the world, is still arguable and debatable in its legal aspect. Each country has its own regulation for online gambling. Hence, it is difficult to categorize countries that belong to what type and another. Some countries fully allow online gambling with no limitation, some are a bit restricting in some rules and some others are totally prohibiting their inhabitants.

Some of those countries who allow online gambling under government supervision are Australia, Antigua, United Kingdom, Costa Rica, Russia, Ireland, Macau, Singapore and some others. While some countries who do not have laws against gambling, except done in public places, are Italy, Philippines, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, and Chezh Republic. Then, many other countries who prohibit their local inhabitants to gamble within national border, but allow them to play internationally. Those countries are Switzerland, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, North Korea, Colombia, Iceland, Norway, Argentine, Brazil, and some others.

Many countries ban their local market to provide online gambling for local inhabitants, but do not restrict the international players to play. These are the intentions of getting taxes and fees from the international players and the prohibition toward local inhabitants is intended to prevent gambling problems that might occur socially or economically in their countries.
